Summary of the project

The project seeks to make a reflexive analysis on our lifestyle and to verify the repercussion that it can have in the natural environment in the medium and long term. To this purpose, in the framework of the project an Audio-visual Material will be produced. It is a short audio-visual to be used as an introduction to informative Sessions aimed at students of Secondary Education and Baccalaureate, and can be later, and whenever required, serve various groups and associations.
The Project consists of TWO PHASES:
– Realization of an informative and formative Video of a maximum duration of 8 / 10 minutes, sufficiently attractive as to maintain the attention of the assistants. The audiovisual material will be produced by a team of professionals with extensive experience in the subject, with professional voiceover and sufficient attractiveness to generate the desired IMPACT among attendees.
2.- Design of a practical 45-minute discussion workshop and delivery of 6 training actions with active-participative methodology in Secondary Education Centres in the province of Cordoba

Summary of the project

The proposal contemplates the celebration of Cultivated Biodiversity Fair. This fair, is proposed as an action of awareness raising, as well as of formation and incidence, around to 2 main axes:
– The importance of cultivated biodiversity and the defence of local varieties as common genetic heritage
– The valorisation of the rural knowledge linked to it.
For FAO, the conservation and sustainable use of genetic resources for food and agriculture is central to ensure agricultural production and mitigating the effects of climate change. The activity is designed to raise awareness and inform society in general on the current situation of the cultivated biodiversity, raising debates on possible actions to be developed and publicizing the results and successful experiences that are locally facing the challenge of conserving and promoting the use of natural resources, and seeds of local varieties. It is a meeting place for those you are looking for production alternatives, consumption and marketing that promote sustainable agro-food systems.
The fair will include the following activities:
1- Exhibition of traditional varieties and products of Andalusian farmers and associations for its promotion among the participants.
2- Space for exchange of seeds by professional farmers and women farmers, amateurs.
3- Guided visits to the local orchards to show participants sustainable and biodiverse agricultural practices
4- Talks, conferences and round tables on ecological agriculture, health, plant genetic resources, short marketing channels and agricultural biodiversity in the Andalusian context with the objective to educate and inform the population about aspects related to the sustainability of our agrifood system business.
5- Tasting and exhibition of Andalusian products to show the population the great genetic and productive heritage
.
6- Competitions of orchards and typical Andalusian dishes with the aim of giving value to the Andalusian culture.
7- Practical workshops on agricultural biodiversity management in Andalusia to train people on the production, conservation and use of plant propagating material.
8- Children’s workshops on local crop varieties with the aim of raising children’s awareness.
9- Informative points and zone of exchange of experiences, space to show materials to promote the use of cultivated biodiversity.
10- Screening of documentaries or short films on ecological agriculture, sustainable food, etc.

Beneficiaries

The beneficiaries of this activity will be mainly those Andalusian organizations that work with the dynamic and community management of cultivated biodiversity and are conformed by farmers, consumers, technicians and researchers (500 persons approximately)

Summary of the project

This project offers a set of tools to citizens to work, use, recognize and manufacture sustainable consumption alternatives. Other ways of consuming in an environmentally friendly way will be made known in order not to aggravate climate change.
The objectives of the project are:
● To train participants on climate change, from the perspective of consumption style and its consequences.
● To Train participants in the preparation of recipes for products to transform our home into a sustainable home.
● To Encourage the creativity of participants and citizens in general on the challenges of climate change.
● To Publicize consumer alternatives that are easy to adapt in our daily lives and do not promote climate change.
Several activities will be carried out: 6 three-hour workshops on climate change and responsible consumption (local, organic and healthy) for adults. In addition, it includes the production of three demonstration videos on how to make healthy products for our home, ensuring greater dissemination, diffusion and impact. A competition will be held to create Haikus (Japanese poem of three verses) and a publication will be published with the best ones.

Beneficiaries

The workshop will be given six times, addressed to an approximate number of 20 people (total of 120).

Summary of the project

The project is an initiative aimed at improving the Waste Management System in Huelva Province involving the population of the village of the Province in these management processes by providing information on the problem of urbanization, waste and alternatives such as reuse and recycling. In order to do this, an itinerant exhibition and complementary awareness-raising activities will be carried out.
The project represents a firm commitment with circular economy concept, an economy in which » in which we keep resources in use for as long as possible, extract the maximum value from them whilst in use, then recover and regenerate products and materials at the end of each service life». This requires an alliance with citizens, and in order to achieve it is necessary to provide them have information about the programmed obsolescence. To this end, the project aims to inform and raise awareness about the obsolescence of the objects we use and its environmental consequences, as well as on the alternatives to these practices that are available to citizens (prevention, reuse, recycle etc.) by making known the programmed obsolescence and its effects on the population of the municipalities and offering to the population the needed information to ensure that they can carry out a correct separation of waste

Beneficiaries

It is expected that this project will reach a total population of 35,000 people and have a direct impact on some 5,000 people who have direct responsibility for waste management. The project will lead to waste reduction and direct increase in reuse and recycling rates.

Summary of the project

Promoted by Subbética Ecológica, an organic producers and consumers association, “BIOCOR ANDALUCIA” is a project which intends to manage and enrich a socially sustained territorial food governance model through a network of initiatives towards organic production and consumption in the Autonomous Community of Andalucía. The project will be developed for a year and looks to extend the citizenship food autonomy Model that compromises in organic production and consumption within the interprovincial area of Córdoba, Granada, Jaén, Málaga and Seville. Training, creating awareness and empowering engaged people and collectives with self-management tools will allow progress for a proposal which walks hand in hand with the principals and values of an Economy for the Common Good.
Stemming from the experience acquired by the association in the last 10 years and the recognition of the positive impact organic production and consumption, within short distribution channels, has in the general sustainability of the socioeconomic system, and particularly in fighting climate change, BIOCOR ANDALUCÍA wishes to deepen its strategy. By engaging in a collaborative economy, connecting with the multitude of local poles within the territory as to create a platform for knowledge sharing as well as to gain scale and create alliances with likeminded producers within the social economy framework, at a regional, national and international level.
